I thought about writing this great entry about Martin Luther King's dream, and then I started thinking of my niece and the week of MLK lessons her school has been doing. My niece, ReAnna, simply said to me, "Is Martin Luther King Jr. important to you? Because, he is important to me". And then she continued on to tell me why she was important to her. Of course I told her he was important to me, and I aswell simpy said, "Because he had a great dream". I think today, on MLK's birthday we should all just stop and think about why he is important to you.
BTW, it was really cute when I told her I had a chance to meet his wife, Coretta Scott King. You would swear that in my nieces eyes I was the coolest person alive.
Today I had the chance to see some more of DC and I got to see the Lincoln monument and stand at the same spot that MLK stood while he gave his famous speech. (Below is a picture).
